Watching cartoons and fairy tales is one of my favorite past times. The scenery makes me feel magical, and I find myself smiling through the whole thing.
The songs are fun and whimsical, the characters are cute and funny. The world of make believe seems so appealing perhaps because it allows us a temporary escape from the reality of our everyday lives and struggles.
Everything always seems to work out , and there is always a happily ever after.
Kinda makes people wonder why real life could not be more like the fairy tale. Maybe the fairy tale is what is in our deepest desires and we have to work through the issues of life to overcome them.. One thing is for sure we can enjoy the world of make believe but do not confuse fairy tales with reality .A Prince and Princess may be perfect in your fairy tale but finding perfect in reality does not exist. We set ourselves and others up for failure when our expectations are unnatural, and unrealistic.
Reading books with sexual fantasy, or watching movies that portray images that elude to your normal as being, ab-normal, or they leave you feeling bad about yourself or your partner, is not only disrespectful but you set yourself and others up to fail you. We must take into consideration that real life has a lot of variables and humans have limitations. The only limitation in fantasy is in your mind. Lusting after something we do not have is sin in God's eyes, but no one can meet those expectations, because as you feed into it, the fantasy grows and it has an insatiable appetite that will never be satisfied. It will always leave you wanting more.
Remember that what ever you feed in this life grows and whatever you deny will die. If you put things under a microscope and examine it and keep your focus upon it that thing you are looking at gets bigger .
Put things into there proper perspective set some boundaries and if you want to dream, dream of what you can turn from make believe into reality. Dreams and fantasy are good if you turn them into something of value to all.
