Scriptures on Organization and Planning

Hebrews 12:2 - ( One Thing At A Time ) Look away from the things that will distract  to Jesus, who is the leader and the source of our faith giving the first incentive for our belief and is also it's finisher bringing it to maturity and perfection.

Having a big picture of success is vital but the need to break it down into bite size amounts is important to accomplishing your goals.

Hebrews 13:5 - ( Be Satisfied ) Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money, greed, lust and craving for earthly possessions and be satisfied with your present circumstances and with what you have for he God himself has said I will not in anyway fail you.

Contentment is something we all have to learn in order to stay on task and be productive.Moving from thing to thing creates instability.

Genesis 12:2 - ( God First ) I will bless you with abundant increase of favors and make your name famous and distinguished and you will be a blessing dispensing good to others.

This is a visual picture of what we are moving toward as we align ourselves with the truths in the word of God. Putting God first is setting a standard from which we measure and evaluate ourselves.

1 Corinthians 10:31 - ( Live For God ) So then whether you eat or drink or whatever you may do, do all for the honor and glory of God.

This is our purpose and the blueprint for everyday living.

Matt. 6:34 - ( Don't Worry ) So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of it's own sufficient for each day is it's own trouble.

Focus on the moment at hand . It is more than enough for us to handle today.

Isaiah 43:18 - ( Let Go Of Yesterday ) Do not earnestly remember the former things neither consider the things of old.

I love letting go and moving forward. Yesterday is a reminder of wisdom gained and we use that wisdom to build on.

James 5:12 - ( Learn To Say No ) But let your yes be a simple yes and your no be a simple no so that you may not sin and fall under condemnation.

We must know who we are in Christ and what we believe and set boundaries for ourselves and others and then be consistent with our choices.

Galatians 6:4 ( Be Yourself ) But let every person carefully scrutinize and examine and test his own conduct and his own work. He can then have the personal satisfaction and joy of doing something commendable without resorting to boastful comparison with his neighbor.

Be true to the design and purpose that God has given to you. Become proficient in all your ways.

Philippians 1:10 ( Quality Over Quantity ) Learn to sense what is vital and approve and prize what is excellent and of real value.

Excellence is a portrait of God we must choose to value it in our lives.

Luke 14:28 ( Don't start what you can't finish ) For which of you wishing to build a firm building does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has sufficient means to finish it.

Having vision and planning are vital to living life on purpose. Plan to be successful by evaluating yourself.

John 14:27 - ( Don't make mountains out of mole hills ) Peace I leave with you, my peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you do not let your hearts be troubled neither let them be afraid.

Do not sweat the small stuff and remember you are the one that title's events. You give them meaning, and you have the power to control your choices.

Mark 8:34 - ( Mind off yourself ) And Jesus called the throng with his disciples and said to them if anyone intends to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross.

Focusing on Jesus and others puts you in a dimmer light where things of importance seem to fade away.

Hebrews 4:7 - ( Procrastination ) Again he set a definite day today if you would hear his voice and when you hear it, do not harden your hearts.

When revelation and understanding make you aware that it is necessary to move in another direction that is the moment of decision.

1 Corinthians 14:33 - ( Clear Clutter ) For he is not a God of confusion and disorder but of peace and order.

Being organized brings order and stability and clarity of mind. Simplifying life allows you to put all your resources into your most valued assets. This brings peace to your soul.

1Peter 5:8 - ( Avoid Excess ) Be well balanced, be vigilant and cautious at all times for the enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion seeking someone to devour.

Balance requires evaluation and prioritizing. When we are out of balance we are wasteful and not good stewards of what has been entrusted to us.

Understanding Yourself

Who are you?, What makes you do the things you do ? What do you believe about Life? And what is your purpose? Every day we make choices that produce results and often we are unaware of why we do what we do. In order to master yourself and be pro-active with your Life producing something of value that is worth reproducing we must understand the environment we have been placed in and our own make-up. As believers we have an identity in Christ but knowing is not enough. Results require action, or evaluated and measured practice. Are you aware of your personality type, your learning style, your love language, your gifts and talents, your strengths and weaknesses. How about your stumbling blocks and blind spots that keep you from moving forward. Are you stagnant in your personal growth, have you taken an assessment of your daily routine , and have you laid out a plan for success?

Everything you and I do will only be as good as what we put in and how we choose to process the information. We are called by God to be an expression of Jesus but we must learn to value ourselves so that as we become confident in our identity in Christ we can add to everything and everyone around us.

Wrong thinking has gotten us to the place where we realize our need for change. These are daily disciplines needed for lasting change. Daily consistent behaviors lead to new habits that at first seem difficult but soon become easy and a natural part of your daily Life.

This is an example of choosing life. Living life in a way that supports you and the world around you.Start a daily journal and split the paper down the center. Start recording your negative thoughts on one side and the new thinking positive life producing thoughts on the other. Write down what was going on at the time and how you can plan to respond differently in the future.

Guilt is a wasted emotion that holds us in a locked position. As we learn to re-frame our perspective on Life we can forgive and realize that everything that we go through can benefit us as we learn the valuable lessons. I can be thankful for what I learn because it goes with me into eternity. I can use these lessons to help others giving me greater purpose in Life.

Here's To Your Health

Exodus 23:25 (ncv)

And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

Speaking the truth of God's word daily are positive affirmations that remind you that you are healed. You are free and you are loved. I will list several scriptures to meditate on .

Psalms: 139: 24 - God examine me and know my heart; test me and know my nervous thoughts. See if there is any bad thing in me. Lead me on the road to everlasting life.
The first step to starting new is to take an assessment of where you are at the moment your in. God is the standard we use to measure ourselves by. He is the one that See's correctly and will help convict our hearts.

I pray that you will be blessed as you make the choice for Life in your Daily eating and exercise habits.

I know how starting a new routine in Life can be motivated and truly desired but the follow through seems to come up short. My advice to you is the same as the way God designed everything that is built or grows One Step At A Time

In my own beginning steps I might exercise for five minutes just doing stretches and after a week I will add 1 minute to the routine each day. I congratulate myself for making the effort to move forward and to try. I do not share with others unless I am sure that they are a support system to me. I do not allow naysayers into my personal bubble. I thank the Lord for new beginnings daily and I smile knowing that this is a necessary part of my growth process.

Remember This -- We never fail God's test we just keep taking them over until we have mastered them. The whole point in growth is not the end result but rather the valuable lessons learned and the Character built in the process.

The Pioneer Spirit

To go where no man has ever gone before. This may bring memories of Star Track to mind but for you and I every time we choose to do what we have never tried or what we fear or what we know we are called to do requires a pioneer spirit. To venture into the unknown, to stand for a cause that may cost us something. There are many people who have accomplished great things because they chose to step out and take action on their belief's. They moved through obstacles  and pushed past naysayers they found resources, they gathered support, and they set in there mind to resolve to accomplish their task no matter what. All of the founder's of our Nation where men and women of character. The men and women of the Bible give us great examples of risk takers and people who resolved to live by their faith.

On June 21, 1776, John Adams, the future second President of the United States, wrote: Statesmen... may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand.

The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue, and if this cannot be inspired into our people in a greater measure, than they have it now, they may change their rulers and the forms of government, but they will not obtain a lasting liberty.
Take note the title that he placed upon those whom he was addressing.( Statesmen) A statesmen is a man or women of character who holds their honor to a high standard. If we were to find such a person I believe we would title them as a hero in this day and age. Surely it would take great resolve to stand up and be a person of honor and be willing to sacrifice for the greater cause. This would take a pioneering spirit.

1 Timothy 6:13 - ...God gives Life to all things...
Ronald Reagan, the 40th President of the United States (1981-1989) stated:
Abraham Lincoln recognized that we could not survive as a free land when some men could decide that others were not fit to be free and should therefore be slaves. Likewise, we cannot survive as a free nation when some men decide that others are not fit to live and should be abandoned to abortion or infanticide.
My administration  is dedicated to the preservation of America as a free land, and there is no cause more important for preserving that freedom than affirming the transcendent right to life of all human being's, the right without which no other Rights have any meaning.

I can see him in his stately manner rising to the podium and declaring his stand, while internally preparing for the backlash.

2 Timothy 4:7 - I have fought the good fight.
" Eddie" Rickenbacker (1890-1973), an American fighter ace in France during World War 1 and Congressional Metal of Honor recipient and later a pioneer in air transportation, stated:

I pray to God every night of my life to be given the strength and power to continue my efforts to inspire in others the interest, the obligation, and the responsibilities that we owe to this land.. And for the sake of future generations- for my boys and girls - so that we can always look back when the candle of life burns low and say, " Thank God, I have contributed my best to the land that contributed so much to me."

Please stand up and repeat after me I Choose Life. I Choose to be a giving, caring , responsible  human being that will lean on the understanding of the Word of God and resolve to do my best, to stand in the face of adversity , to stand on my beliefs and to not wavier.

Titus 1:15 - ... but even their mind and conscience are defiled.
General Omar Bradley was one of the main U.S. Army field commanders in North Africa and Europe during World War 2 and the first officer assigned to the post of Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In 1948, he stated:

We have grasped the mystery of the atom and rejected the Sermon on the Mount... the world has achieved brilliance without conscience . Ours is a world of nuclear giants and ethical infants.

Hebrews 13:5 - I will never leave you nor forsake you.

In a speech in February 1961, President John F. Kennedy stated: ... Let us go forth to lead this land that we love, joining in the prayer of General George Washington in 1783, "that God would have you in his holy protection, that

He would incline the hearts of the citizens... to entertain a brotherly love and affection one for another...and finally that He would most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with ... the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion, without an humble imitation of whose example we can never hope to be a happy nation." The guiding principle and prayer of this nation has been, is now, and shall ever be " In God We Trust"

1 Peter 1:23 - through the word of God which lives and abides forever.
Daniel Webster (1782-1852) Was a leading American Statesman during the nation's Antebellum Period. In 1843, he spoke of the Founding Father's regard for the Bible in an address celebrating the  completion of the Bunker Hill Monument:

The Bible came with them. And it is not to be doubted, that to free and universal reading of the Bible, in that age, men were much indebted for right views of civil liberty. The Bible is a book of faith, and a book of doctrine, and a book of morals, and a book of religion, of special revelation from God; but it is also a book which teaches man his own individual responsibility, his own dignity, and his equality with his fellowman.

2John 8 - that we do not loose those things we worked for...
Andrew Jackson ( 1829-1837) The seventh President of the United States stated: You have the highest of human trust committed to your care. Providence has showered on this favored land blessings without number, and has chosen you as the guardians of freedom, to preserve it for the benefit of the human race. May He who holds in His hands the destinies of nations make you worthy of the favors He has bestowed, and enable you, with pure hearts and hands and sleepless vigilance, to guard and defend to the end of time, the great charge He has committed to your keeping.

Now is the time and today is the day to rise to your feet and say yes to Life and yes to Jesus.

Life is a opportunity to challenge yourself and become everything that Jesus died for you to be.

Please Stand up , Now Stand up on the inside.

Character Counts

www.charactercounts.org

Character is the foundation of all human action and results. Our Schools, Government, Businesses, Churches, and Families. Often we put our beliefs in a box as though we believers are the only one's that understand and value Character. Fortunately God is a God of second chances. We collectively as a Nation and a World are reaping the consequences of a lack of Character and a  Value system .

One thing we all have in common is our tolerance for pain. Some of us have a much higher tolerance and we put up with the pain of our choices far longer than need be. But when it is all said and done we seem to all reach our limit and we turn and go in another direction. This is certainly where we are in America and we are starting to see people and organizations evaluating what needs to be done to escalate our-selves to a higher level.

We know that God is the answer but as for me when I see people seeking for positive change and that change is representative of God's Principles I am coming along side of them and showing my support . By doing this I can win access and influence so that when the time is right and I have earned the right to speak into their lives they will be willing to listen. Character does Count and I support this organization for the difference they are making and there contribution to helping us see our need for change.

If you doubt that you can accomplish something new, just try it and when the results are less than you desire try again. Building on failures can lead to greater knowledge and skills. Simply evaluate your progress adjust your-self and continue on. One day you will have accomplished something of great value and worth that will last beyond your years on Earth. ( Legacy ).

Life is either chosen or forced but regardless if you are living on purpose or reacting to every one and thing around you there will always be something produced as results of your actions.

Choosing Life for a believer means that we put God first. ( Genesis 12:2 ) I will bless you with abundant increase of favors and make your name famous and distinguished and you will be a blessing dispensing good to others.

Living Life on purpose requires us to have a Standard from which we measure and evaluate our actions, words, and deeds. Often we enter into fear and doubt because we are unaware of who we are in Christ and what is available to us. God's promises are a blessing that leads us on a journey for success.

(Matt. 6:34) - So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of it's own sufficient for each day is it's own trouble.

It is more than enough for each of us to organize our lives to be productive, excellent in every way and worthy of our God. Only through self evaluation on a regular basis can we hope to succeed and honor God with our lives.

(Galatians 6:4) But let every person carefully scrutinize and examine and test his own conduct and his work. He can then have the personal satisfaction and joy of doing something commendable without resorting to boastful comparison with his neighbor.

God designed the world and the system of operation so that everything grows and builds one step upon step line upon line and precept upon precept. Our Character is built in layers or stages as well.

James( 1:4 ) But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough  work so that you may be perfectly and fully developed lacking in nothing.

2 Timothy( 1:7 ) God has not given us a Spirit of fearfulness, but one of power, love, and a sound judgement.

I encourage you to face the state of mind that says I can,t , I challenge you to put into your mind the word of God so that you are more than able to accomplish all things through Christ who strengthens you.
