To Grandmothers House we Go

Over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go . The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh, through the bright and crispy snow. 

I would like to say Happy Thanksgiving to all of my followers, you are a blessing to me. 

I pray for all of you daily, and I wish you great joy and peace in the season where we choose to focus on what we have been given . 

Many will be with family and some will be alone. For all of you take the time to give of yourself to someone else for the holidays can be difficult for many. I pray your safe keeping, that the light of God shines upon you making your way straight, giving you wisdom to seek his face and as you sit down to your meal remember in prayer all of those lost souls waiting to be found. May you have a Spirit filled Thanksgiving Day.

Sometimes the price for standing cost you family, friends, jobs, finances and so much more, and the things you must endure because of how others will choose to treat you can cause someone who is weak in courage to shiver.

At this moment is when we must say no to our flesh and yes to setting the example so those who are consistently doing wrong will be met with the appropriate resistance needed to bring about positive change.

I Stand at the crossroads and choose Life by Choosing to bare my cross for the betterment of others despite the cost to myself.

Each person that celebrates Thanksgiving has their own special traditions for the holiday. The gathering of family and friends, the delicacy;s we bring to eat. 

One wonderful tradition to start is to make a grateful list of all your blessings. 

My list is long but it all comes together and stems from my love of and faith in God

Happy Thanksgiving to each of you and may you always be in the habit of looking at what you have been given ,not at what you think is missing. 

Everyone makes mistakes

Lables in my opinion are meant to help us understand what to expect. placing expectations on people gives others power over you for when they fail to meet the expectation who is the one that is disappointed?

We have this way of controlling life by how we choose to label others, and the problem is that most of the labels are built around one incident in someones life.

Once we have formed our opinion we never go back to evaluate to see if there is, change and remove those labels.

Good people make bad choices, this is the stuff human's are made of.

If we do not allow room for error and growth what hope do we have to get better? Today I Choose Life by using Titles as a navigation tool not a final destination.

What Has God ask you to walk through?

I do not know how many times I have been misunderstood and judged wrongly according to someone else's rules. 

What I do know is that if my heart is pure and my motive was not to bring harm , then those who have chosen to judge harshly will do so no matter what I say or do to justify the behavior. So I pray for them and remind myself that they are judging because they have a need to judge, and I can step above the judgement and override the negative effects it could have on me and others. 

God knows, and God see's and God alone is who I will answer to . 

One more thing- there is always a reason or belief behind our actions and compassion will remove the judgement and replace it with empathy. 

How on Earth Do I Fix This

I am looking for your feedback on this one. ( what is it that you or someone around you is struggling with, the thing that keeps coming back around over and over. Your input is part of my research for a book, and I would love the real life struggles to be answered. Thank you for your response and for keeping the comments clean.

That is a Bold statement, but if I am going to believe in something, put all my trust in, and center all of my choices from a standard then I want that standard to have been tested tried, and found to be true. The bible was inspired by God and written by man. It is not my word but His and I challenge you to put it to the test.

YOU'RE PRECIOUS AND PERFECT UNIQUE DESIGN, CALLED GOD'S SPECIAL WOMEN OR MAN. YOU LOOK LIKE YOU LOOK FOR A REASON, OUR GOD MADE NO MISTAKE, HE KNIT YOU TOGETHER WITHIN THE WOMB, YOUR JUST WHAT HE WANTED TO MAKE.

Our Lowest Point

Low points bring hurt, fear, confusion, sometimes anger, and we often loose our way. Low points come for many reasons but the one thing we have that we can hold on to is the fact that when we hit bottom, there is no place to go but up.

 I look at life and see cycles , there is always going to be highs and lows. The sooner we realize this and prepare our hearts for those low times the better. 

The key is to keep our eyes focused on Christ at all times , not on the situation but remind ourselves that this to will pass and when one door shuts another door will open. Choose to continue to prepare for whatever comes knowing that the cycle of life brings change.

Once Upon A Time

Deficient In Wisdom

JAMES 1: 5-8 - If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God ( who gives ) to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him.

 Only it must be in faith that he asks  with no wavering ( no hesitating, no doubting). For the one who wavers ( hesitates, doubts ) is like the billowing surge out at sea that is blown hither and tither and tossed by the wind.

 For truly, let not such a person imagine that he will receive anything ( he asks for ) from the Lord. ( For being as he is ) a man of two minds ( hesitating, dubious, irresolute ), ( he is ) unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything ( he thinks, feels, decides ).

These Three Things

The three things that impress the majority of people, the most about other people are the very things God say's He is unimpressed with- Gaining Earthly Knowledge, Positions Of Authority, And Wealth.( Jeremiah 9:23-24.)

" Thus say's the Lord: Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches, but let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord, exercising loving kindness, judgement, and righteousness- in the earth.For in these I delight, say's the Lord."

Although wealth, and knowledge, and positions of authority are a significant part of our lives, God is much more interested with wether you know Him, and are walking with Him.

Today I Choose Life By putting God first above all the strivings of this world. Amen

Today I am Thankful

Today I am Thankful for the simple pleasures of life. Beautiful flowers, and a good book.

The Wilderness

ISAIAH 30 : 18 - THE LORD  EARNESTLY WAITS ( EXPECTING, LOOKING, AND LONGING ) TO BE GRACIOUS TO ME; AND THEREFORE HE LIFTS HIMSELF UP, THAT HE MAY HAVE MERCY ON ME AND SHOW LOVING-KINDNESS TO ME. FOR THE LORD IS A GOD OF JUSTICE. BLESSED ( HAPPY, FORTUNATE, TO BE ENVIED )  ARE ALL  THOSE WHO ( EARNESTLY) WAIT FOR HIM ( FOR HIS VICTORY,HIS FAVOR, HIS LOVE, HIS PEACE, HIS JOY, AND HIS MATCHLESS, UNBROKEN COMPANIONSHIP ).

There are many times through-out our lives that we feel like we are in the wilderness, let me encourage you, The Wilderness Is Not A Place Of Separation From God But A Place Of Preparation for Where He Will Take Us Next.
