Preparation and Planning the Pay Off

Often times you will work diligently at what you feel is your contribution to the world and never see or feel like your efforts are getting you anywhere.

And then out of the blue in the most unexpected places a door will open to you. It is an opportunity to shine and show what you are made of by contributing to another persons life.

To me it is worth all the time, effort, and resources you have poured into yourself that prepares you for that one moment in time. 

Celebrate your efforts my friend. Knowledge, skills, and wisdom are something no one can take from you and they are the building blocks for your successful life.

Today I Choose Life by being grateful for the gift of preparation, and planning.

This was my healthy breakfast this morning, made from Kale, Cucumber, Green Apple, and Green Melons.

It is amazingly good and creamy tasting. One of the best Green drinks I have tried. Fabulous.

Overcoming Obstacles

It is hardly ever the circumstances that stop you, no matter how you feel they seem and how sure you are that they are the cause of your difficulties. 

What stops people are nearly always one of two things, your goal is shot down by your excuses and yeahbuts, or you are lacking true commitment.

What to do when facing a roadblock is to challenge your excuses, make commitments that are manageable, ones that you have set as there are no other options other than to complete my goal. Even if you have to extend the allotted time frame for completion. If you need accountability get a trusted person to come along side of you that will encourage and lead you on. If you are unwilling to do what it takes look at your purpose behind setting the goal. 

Inner conflict will be a stumbling block as well if you do not create a state of consonance. This means being in agreement or accord, being harmonious. Create a state where your outside and inside agree. 

When there is a lack of harmony between your inner voice and your outer world or when your personality is in conflict with your principles and what you are trying to accomplish, your integrity is compromised, and you will not trust yourself. Others will pick up on this dissonance and will tend no

t to trust you as well.

Welcome to our place . This is where life is turned inside out and upside down in order to accomplish all that we are capable of. 

Thought for the day. We do not always have to have the answers to our own questions or someone else's . Sometimes we just need to choose peace and rest in the fact that God is in control. 

The word that can bring transformation to your life is I can . I can find a way, to move forward, and I can have a good attitude while going through a storm. 

And I can choose to trust and believe .

Overwhelmed

Sometimes God will overwhelm us with blessings and today was one of those days. I had a spectacular Birthday, full of friends, family, gifts, laughter, foods, treats, great conversations, Bible study, and all my facebook and twitter friends who blessed me with Birthday wishes. 

My cup is full and running over. Thankful for so much love.

Commited.

Commited to writing my first book by the first of the year. I have the first 10 Chapters and the first ten sub- titles , my resources are gathered but not organized yet. Starting on September first will start writing two pages a day. Pray for me please. I am excited and challenged by what is on the way.

Dealing with brokeness

When we are dealing with a hurting and broken spirit their defenses can be so strong against others that the slightest word spoken can send them into a frenzy.

They will spew out excuses and accuse you of accusing them. They will avoid you, or lash out at you for no apparent reason.

When someone is in this state of mind, nothing you do or say will change their behavior. You must know that this is a battle within themselves that only they can fight and win.

Show empathy, but do not offer solutions to them. At this stage they need to find their own solutions, without others pointing out what needs to be done. 

Most of the time they already know what needs to be done they are just not ready to make the change. 

When they are ready, they will seek out the help they need . No body can grow for another. When their lives are broken to the place where it cannot be fixed, they will seek after new beginnings. This is when they will be open to the truth.

The light shining in darkness is brighter than the light of day

A light in the dark is often brighter than the light of day. The light of day can be blinding , but a light in the darkness eases us into the light so we can reflect, and contemplate .

 It allows time to process our current state of being and gives us the chance to choose when we are ready to move into the light. It is a transition coming out of darkness into the light. Just as our eyes need time to adjust so does our spirit. 

For those who are jealous about bringing others into the light put on your dimmers so you do not blind people. Allow them time to walk through that transition. 

Fox Or Wolf Either Or

One little fox in your life is equivalent to one large wolf.

Companies That Compromise

It started out as a new company full of team spirit, and communication. In a few short months it became us against them. 

The unrealistic daily performance expected by the employees is taking a toll on the workers physically and there motivation and attitudes are quickly declining. Many have left the building. 

Working in a repetitive motion job where you stand in one place for 5 hrs before you can have a short 10 minute break is bad enough but when you put a buzzer out to call people back to work is really a test of endurance on the workers part.For the benefit of the company I can only hope that you will wake up to the reality of this environment that breads discontent.

 The job requires skilled labor that you hired at the beginning but now are by-passing them and training people to do the work without the background knowledge required to problem solve. There are some things that are known as necessary evils. This means that just because you get by with something for long stretches of time does not mean that the price you will pay in the long run will out way the cost of compromising the better solution I am a firm believer in people who run companies should have an understanding of every position involved in the process. 

. How do you know what you do not know? and how will you fix it when it breaks? At what cost do you determine the value of trained and skilled and seasoned workers? Speed equals greed with out quality. Knowledge without wisdom is just information you do not know what to do with. Evaluate and assess your current state compared to what you are trying to accomplish.

 If you are willing to compromise quality in the beginning of your business you will be short lived and loose out in the end. some quality compromising can and does cost more than a loss of money, it cost a loss of lives. It is time to prioritize and be reasonable. Is this really what you want to be known for? Just another slave driving company who is willing to compromise quality in product and people all for the almighty dollar.I believe those days are coming to an end and the standards for companies is changing. You have the ability to set a standard of excellence in what you manufacture as well as the culture you create while doing it.

There are many days when I have physical pain in my muscles , but the one thing I cannot do is give in. 

Giving in would cause me to have a give-up spirit and that is just not an option. I know my limitations, and I have learned to respect them and to operate within those boundaries. 

I also will stretch those boundaries a bit in order to push my limitations so I do not limit my options.

I always have a goal in mind, and even if I cannot complete it all at once I pick up where I left off the next day.

Following Christ is the highest goal and mark we could ever attain. Pushing yourself past all obstacles and pressing in and moving forward are the only options available. 

If we are to reach the high calling of God we must not give ourselves any other options other than to refuse to lower our standards by giving in to weakness or things that would try to hold us back. Take control and push.

Olive Oil and Herbs

Olive oil and herbs, such a wonderful creative way to preserve the fresh bounty of aromatic, healthy labors of love grown fresh from the garden. 

Look at the shapes , colors, smells and ways that these plants can be used. 

Simple pleasures that serve us for a holistic life style.

Take The Wheel

Most of my life I had a tight reign on the wheel driving myself to my limits. 

Sure of my self and full of confidence that I could do anything. In honesty I could only do what God created me with the ability to accomplish. 

When I realized that I could not do anything with out the one who created me and gave me the resources and knowledge , gifts and talents, brain and body, and a soul I became humbled by His presence and handed over my life to serve Him for His purpose for my life instead of living to serve myself. 

Jesus I gladly give you the wheel to direct my life in the way that you see fit. For your plans for my life are far greater than anything I could accomplish on my own. Today I Choose Life by joining hands with my maker.

Colors

Wow sometimes if we could just slow down and be intentional about thanking God for the chance to be alive. To look upon the beauty of life, and the fact that we have choices about how we choose to perceive our world. 

Lord today I am thankful for colors, it brightens my countenance, it makes me feel alive and vibrant. 

Colors change our moods, they reflect God's creative side, and they allow for a  variety in all things. 

Colors make me smile, they bring joy to my Spirit, and they create atmospheres that invite and welcome people in. They are a reflection of your personality. May you find life in the beauty of color today.

Wrongfully Accused

Have you ever been accused of wrong doing and you were innocent, yet for some reason you felt the need to defend yourself and justify your actions?

This is a common thing for people to stand up for themselves, but I have found that sometimes just saying I did not do that and leaving it alone is best. 

If you are being judged by another and accused wrongfully that is the accusers need to find answers . Most accusers do not look at a persons history, there character, or what they stand for. They just judge based off of there experiences and beliefs . 

I do not waste my time and energy defending myself or proving myself to someone who has pre-judged me. Their, mind is set . Rather I respectfully bless them with the truth and leave un-offended, and allow God to bring things full circle . In doing so life brings the truth around in it's proper timing and you have left place for the accusor to grow from the mistake. 

Often we make ourselves look bad because the accusor is already looking for ways to justify his belief about you, and whatever we seek after we will find. 

Let it go , and trust in God's natural system of reaping and sowing. We live to serve and honor God not to please a man.

Look Up

Whatever we choose to focus on is what becomes larger in our lives. Think on the things from above that lift your head and encourage your heart. 

You will experience all sorts of reality but at any given moment we can choose to give everything to God and walk in inner peace knowing that He is for us , not against us.
